i think i was 12 when my godfather gave me this record, i also think i left it in the back of my closet for a couple if years in favour of slipknot and lynyrd skynyrd. guess i kind of fucked up. anyway, television where big in the mid 70s new york cbgb's scene alongside talking heads, patti smith, ramones, blondie.... they were weirder than all them though, predominantly post-punk yet 'jazzy'. the same year bassist richard hell put out blank generation with his other band the voidoids, that's also a sick cut.television - marquee moon:
